Traditional Griot program

Bassekou Kouyate is one of the true masters of the ngoni, an ancient traditional lute found throughout West Africa, and he has collaborated with many musicians in and outside of Mali, such as Ali Farka Toure, Toumani Diabate, Taj Mahal, …).

Togther with his wife, the fantastic singer Amy Sacko, they play music, which has already played by his parents.  

„Folo Djelia“ is a classical griot program with a chamber music character and can also be performed together with a local orchestra.
